Lauren Hunter is an artist and arts administrator who graduated from OCAD University’s Sculpture/Installation program in 2014. While at OCADU as a student, Lauren served as Executive Director of Academic Affairs on the SU’s BOD. After graduating, she served as Residency Coordinator for Greenbelt Arts in Calca, Peru and as an Administrator at Sailcargo, a green transportation startup in Costa Rica. Most recently, she was the “Minister of Finance” at the Niagara Artists Centre, a registered charity, for four years. Lauren is thrilled to be back at the SU with a focus on assisting students and providing HR services within the Union. She has an active practice as an abstract painter and draws on themes of archetypal places and the inaccessible. Her small family lives in the Dundas West neighbourhood.
