The OCAD Student Union Micro-Grants program provides student members and groups with up to $250 in funding to support non-academic events, creative projects, and community initiatives. These grants are designed to help bring student-led ideas to life and foster connection, collaboration, and engagement within the wider OCAD University community.

Eligibility Criteria:

‍Projects must follow OCAD SU’s principles of equity, social justice, and anti-oppression, and comply with SU, AODA, and OCAD U policies.

Selected applicants must complete a brief 90-minute training on these policies.

Funding will not cover academic projects, personal travel, individual property, or alcohol-related expenses.

Project Grants provide an opportunity for OCAD University students to receive funding to realize projects, host events, or do other creative initiatives that would otherwise be unattainable due to financial barriers.

Applications for Project Grants are assessed once per year in the fall, and all of the available funding is given out at that time. Grant recipients must complete their projects by the end of the winter term.

Funded projects for the 2022/23 year:

• InterVarsity at OCAD U Waffle Nights 2022-23
• Shoes Off Collective 2022-23 Programming
• Journal of Visual and Critical Studies Publication and Working Group

The projects grant is currently inactive.
